**About the role**:

- Carry out pre-delivery inspections of RV's, caravans, and camper trailers.
- Connect electrical systems to outside power sources and activate switches to test the operation of appliances and light fixtures.
- Connect water hoses to inlet pipes of plumbing systems, and test operation of toilets and sinks.
- Examine or test the operation of parts or systems that have been installed or repaired to ensure they are in working order.
- As and when required, inspect recreational vehicles to diagnose problems, then perform necessary adjustment, repair or overhaul.
- Locate and repair frayed wiring, broken connections, or incorrect wiring, using ohmmeters, soldering irons, tape, and hand tools.
- Remove damaged exterior panels, and repair and replace structural frame members.
- Check for and repair leaks or replace pipes, repair plumbing correct compounds, and plastic or copper piper to NZ industry standards.
- Open and close doors, windows, drawers to test their operation, trimming edges to fit as necessary.
- Refinish wood surfaces on cabinets, doors, molding, and floors, using brushes, paints, or vanishes.
- Reset vehicle electronics and components, test functionality, and operation.
- Reseal lockers, vents, and or sides of modular units, using correct sealants, sheets, nails, and screw fixtures.
- Carry out as and when required, the installation of heating systems, batteries, solar panel systems, satellite systems.
- Attend trade shows

**About you**:

- You have some relevant experience within the building, automotive, orelectricalindustries/trades.
- You are a general handyperson with maintenance and repair skills, and are confidentwith hand and power tools.
- You are self-motivated and disciplined, with a passion for getting the job done.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a positive attitude.
- Well-groomed, personable, and friendly.
- Moderate heavy lifting is involved and sometimes you are required to climb on or under vehicles, so you would need to be physically fit due to the nature of the role.
- You can take initiative and work within a team.
