Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
This National role forms part of the Hospital and Specialist Services team, with a focus on Seasonal Pressures, this role has shared accountability to support the implementation and review of initiatives introduced to support and manage the seasonal pressures hospitals and specialist services are facing. This involves meeting a series of initiatives to address hospital flow in a sustainable way to align with changes happening within the health system as part of the health and disability reforms. You will have responsibility in supporting the development of and leading engagement and delivery of the national strategy and direction around seasonal pressures to the community across the motu. You will oversee a variety of tasks, such as engaging with project teams within the regions undertaking seasonal pressure initiatives, rectifying challenges and issues, monitoring progress, tracking KPIs and supporting the shared learnings across region leads and supporting the development of an overarching suite of tools to help manage future demands.
This remote working opportunity is a secondment/ fixed term for 12 months.
Mōu | About you
The successful individual will be a clear and fluid communicator that can engage with audiances across the sector. They will have prooven experince working in collaboration with teams to implement and deliver strategy and strategic priorities, couple this with your ability to render data to drive conversations and navigate the programme for the future. Managing priority programmes and projects across the Directorate, a focussed leadership for quality improvement programmes and providing programme and project management expertise to support the work of the Directorate as well as other areas that may overlap into seasonal pressures.
- Working knowledge of Surge Planning and system pressure response
- Strong experience leading service improvement focused programmes of work
- Ability to work in complex environments and with a wide range of diverse stakeholders that are internal and external to the health enviornment..
- Experience designing / driving / delivery of work programmes and project planning to ensure delivery of work on time, and within budget
- Strong written skills and an ability to take complex information and synthesise into key messages for relevant audiences
- The ability to interpret and diseminate intelligence from a range of sources including data
- Understanding reporting requirements
