**About the role**:
As part of several investment programmes & consultancy frameworks where we have been successful in securing with our Clients we require an experienced Programme Manager to lead, manage & delivery significant portfolios of projects and frameworks.
The diverse nature of these programmes include large water & wastewater treatment plant enhancements, network upgrades, asset optimisation, renewable and capital maintenance schemes, programme & project management & business planning.
**Role Purpose**:
To lead, develop and deliver advisory and programme management services as a senior leader within our business. Specifically provide advisory services business leadership for the Lower North Island region. Key skills and competencies include:

**Principal Accountabilities**:
- Undertake various framework & programme lead roles
- Single point of contact for the client on programme/framework related issues, developing and maintaining an effective working relationship
- Provide leadership in advisory services practice within New Zealand and support initiatives to grow our advisory services portfolio
- Defining strategies to ensure effective business development
- Define and oversee plans to optimise and risk mitigate the delivery work
- Lead the client through programme implementation, capturing the hearts and minds of the asset management & operators and the wider group of key stakeholders
- Driving effective delivery to time and budget and support in the overall management of the programme including planning, staffing, and performance management
- Ensure the programme plan meets client requirements and constraints, such as regulatory requirements, value of work, cash flow objectives and available resource
- Analyse programme information and forecast trends, highlight issues to inform strategy
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting data for delivery areas
- Take a strategic view of the programme, looking for opportunities to maximise client benefit, cluster, accelerate and increase efficiency
- Maintain overview of impact of change on programme and assist change manager in assessing programme and cash flow impacts at scheme level
**Person Specification**
- Degree qualified
- Professionally qualified - Chartered status or similar with an appropriate body
- Significant experience in programme management, most of which must have been on programmes relevant to this role
- Track record of building, maintaining and managing strong relationships across client / contractor interfaces
- Experience and evidence of successfully delivering to time, cost and quality, complex technical programmes and projects
- Demonstrable leadership of a team delivering complex technical & regulatory projects
- Energetic, progressive and passionate around developing their career
**Experience and expertise**:
- Senior programme management experience (responsible for delivery of large projects and multiple project programmes)
- Hands on experience in management of design and / or construction at a major project and programme level
- Proven success in strategy formulation and implementation, business development and build strong client relationships
- Has been accountable for the development, administration and monitoring of project and programme level financial plans and resource plans and has demonstrated an ability to adapt to a changing environment
- Displays a full understanding of business, industry, and regulatory practices and trends, and actively works to identify emerging trends and advises clients and managers relative to their implications
**Skills and competencies**:
- Experience of successfully managing a technically & geographically diverse team on projects with varying size and complexity
- Proven people management skills
- Willingness to accept feedback constructively
- Proven ability to deliver through effective delegation through team, coaching and mentoring to deliver outcomes
