**The role**:
The role of the BI Developer involves delivering BI services to the company by creating and implementing visualizations, reports, and dashboards using Power BI. This includes collaborating with business leaders to comprehend their requirements, converting them into technical specifications, and delivering efficient and prompt solutions throughout the organisation. As a key member of the IT organisation you will be reporting directly to the CIO.

Day to day work will include:

- Integrate BI infrastructure with company data sources for maximum efficiency.
- Assist and guide the business with technical issues related to BI, serving as the point of escalation for the 1st level team.
- Manage the proactive maintenance of the BI environment to ensure its smooth functioning.
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of visualizations and reports using Power BI.
- Maintain high standards of accurately classified data in the call management system for precise reporting.
- Maintain an end-to-end perspective and strive to deliver the best user experience at all levels.
- Ensure that all incidents, service requests, problems, and change requests are recorded, monitored, and tracked using the Call Management System.
- Provide feedback to the IT team regarding the status of BI-related incidents, service requests, problems, and change requests.
- Collaborate with users, managers, and other stakeholders to comprehend reporting requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
- Create and execute database queries, and perform analysis to improve BI systems. Produce test scripts, conduct unit testing, and assist in UAT where necessary.
- Document training material and assist in training as required.
- Maintain Knowledge Base materials and train Service Desk staff.

**Your background**:

- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing Microsoft Power BI and developing with DAX.
- Preference for experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, SalesForce CRM, and Power BI.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) and familiarity with writing T-SQL functions.
- Experience in a complex business environment.
- Familiarity with MS Visual Studio would be beneficial.
- Possess an analytical mind and possess problem-solving skills. Previous exposure to Microsoft PowerApps.
- Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and be innovative.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of building relationships with colleagues at all levels.
