Req ID: 10861Great Journeys New Zealand (GJNZ) operates some of New Zealand’s most iconic Tourism experiences - TranzAlpine, Coastal Pacific & Northern Explorer scenic trains. Over recent years we have been embarking on transformational change regarding how we offer unique experiences to domestic and international visitors.

We have an opportunity for a **Design Associate** to join our team based in either Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. You will need to be self-motivated as this is a sole charge role with the marketing team being based across different offices in New Zealand.

This is a Graphic Design role that will require you to deliver design solutions through a range of media. This includes campaign assets, presentations, templates, brochures and general visual communication for both internal and external audiences.

Reporting to the GJNZ Brand Manager, you will be a conceptual thinker who will work with the national GJNZ teams. You will have experience across both print and digital platforms and be able to communicate our brand’s vision and purpose through design and to a diverse group of stakeholders, including external third-party vendors or agencies as required.

**What you’ll do**
- Work closely with the marketing team and trade partners on a range of brand and campaign assets - including social, digital and print
- Create a range of creative content for B2B and B2C audience
- Work on multiple ongoing design projects to tight deadlines
- Deliver and further develop the brand identity and guidelines to ensure consistent execution of design assets across all channels
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with the team to achieve continuous improvements

**What you’ll need**
- 3+ years practical experience preferably in tourism/ hospitality sector
- Graphic / Art Design tertiary qualification or related disciplines
- Composition and layout experience
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe XD with Motion Graphic Design (Adobe After effects, Premier Pro or similar)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Photography, videography and editing skills are highly desirable
