Our services are essential to the people in our region and include infrastructure development, community recreational facilities and planning, building and other regulatory services.
With offices across the region, the Wanaka branch houses this exciting opportunity. It has a collaborative internal culture and positive external image, a robust pipeline of work and solid staff numbers in place.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Represent the Wanaka office of the QLDC
- Collaborate with fellow Team Leaders, Principals and Manager to drive discussion and action plans
- Provide technical expertise across the Resource Management Act and planning principles
- Mentor, coach and provide advice to the Consent Planners in order to build their capability.
**Key Requirements**:
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience and team management
- Intimate knowledge of the Resource Management Act 1991 and allied legislation, in particular those provisions relating to resource consent processes, subdivisions and plan changes.
- A communicative approach and strong relationship building and management record
- Genuine leadership capability and public presentation skills
