Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
A new opportunity has opened in the On-Premise team managing our infrastructure environment and being a part of the migration to the cloud. This role is responsible for operational ownership for the delivery of BAU, Project work and Assurance functions for Te Whatu Ora.
Mō tō mātou rōpū - About our team
The Server On-Premise team maintains Te Whatu Ora - a infrastructure environment. We are a close knit team of 7, spread across the regions hospitals (Wellington Regional, Hutt and Wairarapa)
The role is part of the wider Platforms and Security teams and will be required to work closely with other ICT teams in supporting our Digital Workplace programme of work and Cloud journey.
This operational role is critical to the execution of our Infrastructure strategy which is a foundational epic of our Digital Strategy.
Moū - About you
It is essential that you bring at least 5 years' technical experience in a similar infrastructure role within large enterprise organisations.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a commitment to delivering high quality solutions to business needs, plus an ability to work in a team that delivers a high availability service.
You will have experience and sound understanding of customer service delivery in an IT environment. Effective reasoning skills and an understanding of ITIL practices.

**Other essential skills and experience we are looking for**:

- Experience supporting Microsoft technologies (AD, DNS, DHCP), Provisioning and supporting Microsoft Servers in both on premise and Cloud environments. Office 365 Technologies such as Exchange Online, Teams, One Drive. Practical experience with technologies such as PowerShell/VB,
- Experience working in a VMware ESX environment or equivalent virtualization software.
- Experience supporting Linux servers
- Be well conversant with TCP/IP networking.
- HP/Netapp storage area networks and Commvault backup systems, while not essential would be highly desirable.

You will need an understanding of Agile practices and the SCRUM framework.
