**The role**
Reporting to the General Manager - Digital, you will engage with senior stakeholders, Executives and the Board of Directors to define and deliver the strategic direction of information security at Northpower. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Cyber Security function and lead the major incident response and investigation process. You will also enable a culture of security and reliability across Northpower through cyber security awareness training, security policies, standards and best practices.
- As the Information Security Manager, you also:
- Provide visible information security leadership across the business and with our business partners
- Develop a multi-year information security strategy and roadmap
- Establish information security governance for delivery of the Information security roadmap
- Report to the Board annually and the Risk and Assurance Committee bi-annually to confirm progress, risk level, maturity target, future plans and investment
- Work with our external cyber security advisors to coordinate vulnerability assessments etc.
- Optimise digital “run” costs in order to invest more in future growth
- Manage budgets for Information Security programmes of work

You’ll bring eight to ten years’ of experience in a combination of risk management, information security and IT infrastructure roles, along with a few years’ leadership experience. Some of the skills and qualifications we’re seeking include:
- Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering change within a complex organisation
- An understanding of common information security management frameworks like ITIL, COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001 and/or NSIT
- Qualification in Computer Science, Business or equivalent
- Proven experience with incident management frameworks like CIMS
- Excellent communication skills and strong collaborative skills
- A critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
