We are currently looking for a Assistant Manager to be part of the ongoing success of our liquor store in Whangarei. As a Manager you will need to perform a variety of administrative and supervisory work within the management of liquor store operation including but not limited to: managing and directing the day-to-day operations of the store; supervising and scheduling employees; developing retail objectives for the store; preparing marketing and merchandising concepts; establishing policies and procedures guaranteeing compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining proper store inventories.

**Your Job Responisiblities include-**
- Supervise and assist with the day to day operations of the liquor store, including; stocking and storing of merchandise
- Assist and establish a training program to keep all liquor store staff informed and knowledgeable of store products and liquor laws
- Assist or supervise the purchase of all products with an emphasis on evaluating deals to maximize profitability.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory throughout the year.
- Provide monthly reports to the finance department.
- Supervise the receiving and storage of products
- Assist in coordinating and conducting wine/beer club and tasting events.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Owner/Manager

**Minimum 40 hours/per week is guranteed**
- Be NZ resident/ Citizen
- Any relevant experience is highly appretiated
- Should have good communication skills
- Should have liquor Knowledge
- Should be available to work on weekends and evening shifts.
- Should have management skills

**Salary**: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Whangarei, Northland: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
