**About the Role**
As a Public Health Nurse, you will deliver public health nursing services across the community. Public health nursing includes assessment of population health, attention to the multiple determinants of health, an emphasis on primary prevention, and continued commitment to best evidence based public health nursing practice. This is a part time, permanent role.
**About the Team/Service/ Location**
Our public health nursing team is part of the National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora, and work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures for all) by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing on oranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.
**About you**
- Current registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse
- Holds a current Annual Practising Certificate
- An ongoing commitment to professional development
- A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for underserved whānau and communities
- Be prepared to work towards, or already, an authorised vaccinator (3 years+) and / or whole of life authorised vaccinator, as required for the role
- Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Proven experience using Patient Management Systems
- An eye for detail and commitment for continuous quality improvement
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Full Drivers Licence
