As the main fault contractor for Orion, we respond to any callouts to get the power back on as quickly as we can for the community. We are there in the wind, rain and snow 24/7.

**The role**

You will be setting up and managing Traffic Management Plans (TMP’s) for shoulder closures, lane shifts and lane drops from the CBD to the coast or the high country. You’re the first person on site and the last to leave, so a critical part of the team that keeps the power on for our Canterbury customers.

**What’s in it for you?**

This is a full-time permanent secure role with guaranteed hours and overtime paid at time and a half. Once you are deemed competent in Connetics policies and procedures there may be an opportunity to be on the Faults Roster 24/7. This is for one week in four and gives you the chance to earn double time while responding to emergencies and adverse weather conditions. If you want to upskill to STMS CAT ABC practicing, we can also help you with this.

What makes this role even more appealing is that we have sites in Central Otago and Wellington, so there may be opportunities to assist our other regions.

**What we want from you**
- A fit approachable person who is willing to pitch in and help the rest of the team when your part of the job is done
- STMS CAT A/B or Level 1 certificate, level 2/3 Non practicing
- Current practicing STMS ABC, TMO, or Level 123 qualifications preferred but not essential
- Current and valid Class 2 driver’s licence
- Understanding of the COPTTM and RCA specific variations
- Relevant industry experience
- Ability to read plans
- Available to be on an on-call roster once deemed fully competent in the role

**Pre-Employment Tests | Medical & Ministry of Justice**

Connetics require all successful applicants to complete a pre-employment Ministry of Justice check, a Pre-Employment medical test which includes a Drug and Alcohol test.
