Medication Safety Pharmacist

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

We are looking for highly motivated, innovative and experienced Pharmacists to work within our Medicines Governance team.

You will join a team of 10 FTE across Medication Safety, Medicines Information and Informatics reporting to the Clinical Lead Pharmacist Medicines Governance and Informatics. This is a great opportunity to contribute to a fast growing field, leading medication safety initiatives to implement safe practices within healthcare. Te Toka Tumai is committed to safe medication practices within its organisation.

This full time permanent role will provide you the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge and integrate yourself into all aspects of the pharmacy and Medicines Governance service. The position collaborates extensively within the pharmacy department and the multiple Directorates of Te Toka Tumai.

**Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills**
- Pharm or other recognised pharmacy qualification
- 3 years of experience in hospital pharmacy (can include hospital internship)
- Previous experience of audit, data analysis and/or project work
- Evidence of senior clinical pharmacy skills in a hospital environment
- Good organisational skills and excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills within and outside pharmacy

Our Pharmacy department is an innovative and exciting place to work. We employ over 100 staff including those working within two retail pharmacies, Aseptic Production Unit and a flagship inpatient service. We serve over 1200 inpatient beds. Our award winning and growing clinical pharmacy service has over 40 pharmacists working across both secondary and tertiary level services.
