Waitakere, New Zealand Te Whānau o Waipareira Full time

**He Mahi Whakarerekē Ao - A Role That Transforms Lives**

At **Te Whānau o Waipareira**, we’re looking for compassionate and committed **Kaitūhono Kaimahi** to walk alongside our whānau through some of the most important moments in their lives.

You’ll be part of our **Kōrure Whānau** team, supporting both young wahine and māmā with pēpi in our West Auckland-based community homes. These wāhine may be navigating complex social challenges, and your mahi will help them reclaim stability, strength, and self-determination.

This is more than a job. It’s a chance to be a trusted guide, an advocate, and a connector of services - all through the lens of **Whānau Ora**.

**Ngā Haora Mahi - Shift Options**
We are offering full-time roles across weekday shifts:

- **Morning**: 6:00am - 2:30pm
- **Afternoon**: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
- **Night**: 10:00pm - 6:30am

**Ngā kawenga | What You’ll Be Doing**
- Provide wraparound support to māmā, pēpi, rangatahi wahine and their whānau, helping them set goals and navigate services across health, education, justice and social care.
- Build deep, trusting relationships grounded in whanaungatanga.
- Work closely with agencies such as Oranga Tamariki, Police, and schools - advocating fiercely to ensure our whānau receive what they’re entitled to.
- Use our Mataora assessment model to co-design personalised support plans with whānau.
- Help create generational change, starting from the home.

**Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | What You’ll Bring**
- A strong foundation in **Te Reo me ngā Tikanga Māori** - you live and breathe manaakitanga, kotahitanga, and aroha.
- At least **2 years' experience** in frontline social, youth, or whānau-centred support roles.
- A relevant qualification in Whānau Ora, Health, Social Practice, or similar (preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of local service networks in Tāmaki Makaurau.
- Confident communicator - whether kanohi ki te kanohi, by phone, or online.
- Full, clean **NZ driver’s licence** - this role requires mobility.

**He aha ai mātou? | Why Us?**

Join a kaupapa Māori organisation grounded in **Te Kauhau Ora o Waipareira** - our values-led code of conduct.
- Be welcomed into a whānau-first workplace that values wellbeing, authenticity, and collaboration.
- Access to professional development pathways and opportunities to grow your career.
- Based in West Auckland, close to public transport and community.

This is your opportunity to uplift wāhine and whānau, ensuring they are heard, seen, and supported in the most transformative way.

**All applicants must have a valid New Zealand residency or work visa.**

We do not accept submissions from any recruitment agency.
