Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is a vibrant and exciting tertiary education institution, which offers a range of programmes from certificates to doctorates, across a range of disciplines.

We require a highly motivated HR Advisor to support and assist the HR Manager in further developing our HR function at Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi. An important focus of the role is providing sound advice to and partnering with Heads of Schools and department managers to ensure positive outcomes to employment related matters.

To successfully undertake this role you will have:

- A Bachelor degree in human resources or a related management/industrial psychology field or equivalent experience.
- 5 years’ generalist human resources experience, with particular expertise in recruitment and/or payroll.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of employment legislation and case
- Policy analysis, writing and implementation abilities.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Competency in tikanga Māori and Te Reo Māori
- A current driver’s licence
