Te Tari Pūreke - Firearms Safety Authority is New Zealand’s Firearms Regulator. Our Vision is to ensure the possession and use of firearms in Aotearoa is the safest in the world.
**To achieve this, Te Tari Pūreke delivers four core functions**: effectively implementing the firearms licensing systems; managing the Firearms Registry; educating people to enable compliance with their legislative responsibilities; and promoting the safe possession and lawful use of firearms.

About the role
We are looking for a Content Writer who will support the Service Improvement team by creating, reviewing, and publishing clear, accurate, and engaging content. This role plays a critical part in ensuring firearms staff and stakeholders are informed through high-quality documentation, communications, and guidance materials.
**Key Deliverables**:
Create and publish content for the knowledge base and firearms hub, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency of messaging.
Translate complex information, including legislation and policy, into plain language guidance that is easily understood by staff.
Coordinate communication of process changes and project updates to ensure all work streams are aware of key milestones and impacts.
Lead and maintain quality assurance processes for documentation and contribute to continuous improvement in content standards.
Prepare, edit, and review documents such as OIA responses, parliamentary questions, and formal reports to a high standard within set timeframes.
Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and teams across the regulator to ensure documentation accurately reflects services and priorities.

Special Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification, or equivalent experience preferred.

This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $95,057.00 - $100,626.00 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
