Marketing Assistant

We are on the lookout for a talented and experienced **Marketing Assistant**with a passion for fostering community in a retail environment.

Hours 10 -12 hours a week, flexible hours possible but must be in store to connect with the team.

FreshChoice Epsom & Café du Marche are two locally owned and operated businesses in the heart of Epsom. Our values are to work alongside and support our local community.

In this position you will be responsible for the delivery of all instore and social media communications. The role would suit someone with marketing experience who enjoys engaging at the local community level, as well as being fluent with digital marketing technologies.

**Specifically you will**:

- Engage with our local community to discover how we can partner with them
- Write copy & compelling stories for print, social media, website content editing
- Create posters, videos, short reels
- Manage and enhance the supermarket & café online presence
- Develop and produce content for all promotional material and activities
- Promote our programs, functions and events, e.g. Catering, Wine & Food night, Dinner & Opera etc
- Co-ordinate our in store tasting programmes
- Follow brand standards for the supermarket and enhance the nation wide marketing programme

Your background, experience and attributes will include**:

- A marketing or digital graduate or similar
- Ability and confidence to reach out to key stake holders in the local community
- A good understanding of social media and some website design experience eg. Word Press
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills with Canva, Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Photoshop to create promotional content according to brand guidelines
- The ability to multi-task priorities and work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.
- A sense of humour a must - no two days are ever the same
