We at **Bupa Sunset Care Home, **located in** Blockhouse Bay, Auckland, **are searching for a Maintenance Officer to join our team. This is a permanent full-time position, working about 36 to 40 hours per week.

As part of our team, you will use your skills and experience to engage with residents and make sure we can focus on delivering high quality care. You could be undertaking various odd jobs, general building, and facility maintenance, or maintaining and improving the site grounds to create a homely environment.

**Key Task and Responsibilities**
- Be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility
- Follow the formulated preventative maintenance programme
- Manage cost efficiency and economy
- Keep current records of works completed and meet all compliance requirements.
- Oversee contractors when on site

**About you**
- A minimum of 1-3 years’ maintenance experience in a similar position
- Ideally, you will hold a relevant Vocational or technical qualification
- Ability to use power tools and maintenance equipment effectively and safely
- Sound organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks accurately.
- Strong ability to problem solve
