About the role
At ANZ our purpose is to shape a world where people and communities thrive and to achieve this, we need a talented BI Platform Lead to join our Data and Analytics Division.
As a BI Platform Lead you will be help grow the BI Practice to live and breathe the vision of uplifting data literacy, improving productivity through automation, federating data access, producing metrics that matter and enabling actionable insights.
This role is accountable for leading the ANZ Tableau Community by coordinating efforts related to user enablement, including support resources, engagement events, connecting users within ANZ, and Business Intelligence evangelism. In collaboration with the BI Leadership team the role is also responsible for developing and delivering the Enterprise Business Intelligence strategy and Tableau platform roadmap.
What will your day look like
Attracting, retaining, developing, and managing the performance of the BI Analysts within the team
Helping to foster a healthy working culture, that promotes learning and continuous improvement
Providing technical coaching on Tableau data design and data visualisation to the BI Analysts within the team and to the analytics spokes within the business
Actively maintaining an expert level of specialised knowledge through personal learning and development, leveraging internal and external networks
Managing a team that delivers value using Agile methodologies
Working with vendor partner to leverage the premium support agreement and manage commercials, consultancy service, eLearning and certification
Collaborating with technology teams (infrastructure, Employee Experience and Architecture) to deliver the platform roadmap
Overseeing the performance and usage of the Tableau platform and dashboard to ensure service levels, user access and feature
adoption is effectively governed and optimised
Building and embedding a Business Intelligence practice that is innovative, and a leader in a competitive market
Proactively seeking opportunities to consolidate and simplify and extend the use our data assets to provide enterprise-wide value
What will you bring?
Demonstrated people leadership skills including coaching, team building and change management with experience line managing up to 8 direct reports
5+ years working in Analytics, BI or Technology, including experience developing in tool such as to tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense
Mastery in data modelling, dashboard design and data visualisation
A good understanding of agile methodologies and how they can be used in a Business Intelligence context
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience managing a data platform
