Occupational Therapist: Low Vision Clinic

Permanent part-time opportunity (20 hours per week)The role includes the assessment, education and provision
techniques, strategies and technology to support a broad range of vision
difficulties. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills
and be able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team.Experience in working with people with Older Persons Health and

At Burwood Hospital, the Occupational Therapy staff
are embedded into ward and outpatient teams and benefit from having close
professional support from colleagues. Our Occupational Therapists provide
skilled assessment, management and rehabilitation of a broad range of visual
related disorders and find solutions for people to remain well at home.
We're looking for an Occupational Therapist to join
our team on a part time permanent basis.

**The Role**: Where

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:
Providing comprehensive assessments, evaluations and treatments in
accordance with policies, procedures and standards of practice for
Occupational Therapy.Educating and providing resources to patients and their
families/whanau, your clinical team and colleagues in the
interdisciplinary team.Ensuring appropriate documentation and patient records are updated and
maintained;Contributing to quality service provision within the Vision clinic,
the Occupational Therapy service and the wider Burwood site. Your skills will include:
Ability to complete thorough assessments and be able to flexibly
integrate interventions using problem solving, robust communication whilst
being led by your client's goals.Ability to work within an interdisciplinary team within Older
Persons Health and Rehabilitation settingExperience in working with patients with significant comorbidities
would also be an advantage.You will be registered with a annual practicing certificate.
