We have a part time vacancy for an Occupational Therapist to be based in our Christchurch Centre. The occupational therapist will work collaboratively with a dedicated interdisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, clinical nurse specialists, prosthetists, orthotists, doctors, technicians, and non-clinical staff. We pride ourselves on delivering world class patient centred care in a supportive environment.

This vacancy is for approximately 20 hours per week, days and hours of work are negotiable.

The Occupational Therapist will provide critical rehabilitation interventions, including
- identifying the patient's functional goals, which can include self-care, home management, work tasks, driving, childcare, leisure activities,
- providing prosthetic rehabilitation assessments and plans
- working closely with prosthetist/orthotists to provide people with training to use their prosthesis
- analysing tasks and providing modifications to achieve functional goals
- providing education on compensatory techniques and equipment to accomplish tasks and activities
- identifying and addressing psychosocial issues
- provision of telehealth consultations as required

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
We are looking for an occupational therapist who is comfortable working with a wide range of people from various backgrounds and has a collaborative working approach.
- at least 2 years post graduate experience
- a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- experience in rehabilitation
- excellent communication skills
- the ability to work well autonomously in a team environment
- a keen interest in learning and professional development
