As the Principal Liaison Advisor within the Regulatory and Business Advisory Services team, you will be reporting into the Team Leader Liaison Services, Triage and Allocation in the Employment Services branch of Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery business group.
The role will support migrants who are key witnesses to alleged exploitative practices by their employer by providing advice, information and connection to support services necessary for their everyday life in New Zealand.
The Principle Liaison Advisor, Migrant Exploitation will be liaison between the alleged victim and the investigating Labour Inspector and Immigration New Zealand's Border & Visa Operations unit to keep the alleged victim informed as to the progress of the case, any visa they've applied for and any other requirements of them.

- Ability to influence, and effectively bring about solutions to problems by gaining the cooperation and commitment of others
- Ability to consider the bigger picture strategic issues, and think laterally about current and future issues, risks and opportunities
- Knowledge of relevant employment and immigration legislation, operational policies, practice frameworks and business processes and how these should be applied (or an ability to gain such knowledge quickly)
- Proven ability to self-start, take responsibility and deliver results
