Line Mechanic

**Role Responsibilities**:
- As a Line Mechanic at Northpower, your day will be full of variety and responsibility. You’ll be:
- Installing and maintaining overhead lines and underground networks (up to 33kV)
- Replacing poles, conductors, and other key electrical components
- Operating electrical equipment both on the ground and at height
- Planning and executing job tasks efficiently and safely
- Completing accurate job and incident reports, inspection forms, and asset records
- Supporting your crew with day-to-day leadership, communication, and on-the-job guidance
**Experience**:
- You’ll bring practical skills, a proactive mindset, and a passion for safety and teamwork. We’re after someone who has:
- A current EWRB registration
- A Class 1 and 2 driver’s licence (Class 4 is a bonus)
- Solid experience with overhead lines and exposure to underground networks
- A great attitude and solid work ethic
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- The physical capability to handle the demands of the job
- A commitment to safety - for yourself, your team, and the community
