Mō te tūnga - About the role
The Research, Evaluation and Insights Team builds deep knowledge and provides sound advice to ensure that: EECA's work programme and policy advice are based on robust evidence and insights; EECA identifies and targets opportunities that can deliver the greatest public value at the lowest cost; and evidence is translated into effective insights and programme innovations to maintain EECA's authority on energy efficiency, conservation and renewable generation.
In this role, you will provide thought leadership and evidence to steer the development and evaluation of programmes EECA delivers; helping shape the focus of information, co-funding, or regulation within these. To excel in this role, you will be proactive about continuing to develop your knowledge within specific areas of the energy system. We are looking for someone eager to explore and understand advances in more efficient technology, demand reduction, and the interplay with other parts of the system.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- expertise in the energy sector, including knowledge relating to emerging technologies relevant to low emissions solutions.
- demonstrated analytical skills and system thinking.
- ability to undertake research and generate advice or insights.
- a relevant tertiary qualification in engineering or sciences; and/or relevant technical sector experience.
