Our work helps farmers improve animal welfare, strengthen farm economics, and create a more sustainable future. Backed by global genetics leader CRV and powered by a state-of-the-art R&D lab in Auckland’s vibrant waterfront, we’re a diverse, world-class team pushing the boundaries of microfluidics, photonics, biology, and engineering.

**The Role**
We’re looking for an Enterprise Systems Lead to oversee and manage Engender’s core business systems and infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing, integrating, and optimising enterprise systems that drive operational efficiency, data consistency, and scalability. Working closely with technical teams, business units, and external vendors, you’ll ensure Engender’s systems are reliable, secure, and built to support our ambitious growth.
- What You’ll Do_
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to translate needs into technical solutions.
- Define and enforce standards for architecture, data governance, security, and system integration.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party providers.
- Oversee system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to maximise performance and minimise downtime.
- Improve data integrity, consistency, and security across all enterprise platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to enterprise systems teams.
- Monitor system performance, proactively resolving technical issues.
- Stay on top of emerging tools and trends in enterprise systems and infrastructure.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, efficiency, and security.
**About You**
You’re a proven leader who thrives on bringing order, structure, and efficiency to complex technology environments. You understand enterprise systems deeply, and you know how to translate technical complexity into business value.
- Significant experience leading enterprise systems and infrastructure.
- Strong technical skills in system administration, integration, and architecture.
- Proven track record managing complex system implementations and upgrades.
- Deep knowledge of enterprise architecture, data governance, and security practices.
- Experience with vendors, contracts, and third-party providers.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communicator with the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams.
- Leadership experience managing teams or projects in enterprise IT.
**Why Join Us?**
- Be part of a pioneering company transforming the future of farming.
- Lead the systems that power cutting-edge science and innovation.
- Collaborate with a talented, multidisciplinary team in a fast-moving environment.
- Work in a modern waterfront lab in the heart of Auckland.
