If so, we have a sensational opportunity for you Join our renowned Building Review team at Waikato District Council and play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with building regulations.

**What will I do?**
- Lead the processing of residential and commercial building consents with a team of direct reports
- Ensure compliance with all building regulations and legislation
- Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering their professional development
- Collaborate with the Building Review Team Leader to foster a cooperative and connected approach with stakeholders
- Assist to renew and maintain Building Consent Authority accreditation
- Empower customers to navigate regulations and legislation seamlessly

**What I bring?**
- Previous experience in building control with current competencies
- National Diploma in Building Control Surveying (Level 5) or equivalent
- Proven leadership qualities and experience managing and developing a team
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a dedication to delivering excellent customer service
- Strong technical knowledge of the Building Act, Building Regulations, Building Code, and other relevant standards and statutes
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and take initiative
