Afternoon Shift Supervisor

Job Description*
About this opportunity*
The Purpose of this role is to coordinate efficient and effective operation of Thermoforming shift at the Albany plant.
This includes:

- Coordinating labour to meet production demand
- Management of the production process including direct management of the Thermoforming crew and quality
- Management of all raw materials
- WIP and Finished Goods within the Thermoforming plant
- Training and development of the crew
- Coordinating equipment repair and preventative maintenance
- Developing, documenting, and training of safety and operational processes

The role also provides significant ongoing support towards improving operational management practices (consistent with LEAN principles). Contributing & collaborating as a member of the leadership team. Clear communication and team working skills are critical.
Your key area of duties will be:

- Safe and efficient Thermoforming production
- Management of the thermoforming process
- Raw materials, WIP and Finished Goods
- Equipment repair and preventative maintenance
- Safety and operational process development, documentation, and training
- Support the management team

About you*
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring the following essential experience and skills:

- Supervisory experience
- Continuous improvements knowledge, best practise - Lean, Six sigma. Analytical skills
- Intermediate computer skills and some proficiency with Excel and Word. SAP experience highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills
- High standards of workplace management - leadership; housekeeping.
- Analytical thinking and problem solver.
- Passion for Continuous Improvement
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Computer literate
- Team player - happy to support others and work with internal and external project teams.
- Handles pressure well
