Cabinet Maker

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Study drawings, plans and specifications to determine dimensions and materials required
- Select and work with materials such as timber, veneers, laminates, and hardware
- Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools to cut, shape and join wood and other materials
- Assemble parts to form sections of furniture and fittings, and reinforce joints using nails, screws or glue
- Fit hinges, drawers, handles, locks, and other hardware
- Install finished furniture and fittings on-site, including kitchens, wardrobes, shelving, counters, and bathroom vanities
- Inspect finished products for quality control, making necessary adjustments or repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following health and safety procedures
- Communicate with clients or supervisors to clarify design expectations when needed

**Job requirement**:

- Please have at least two years relevant work experience, or
- Relevant diploma (NZQF Level 4) or above
- Have understanding of industry
- May travel between sites on contract
