**About the team | Ko te rōpū nei**
**Our Road Amenity and Asset Protection team is responsible to manage the work that Utility Operators and their contractors undertake within Council road reserve to ensure that work is coordinated, is undertaken to our standards and our residents remain safe. This work includes excavation, issues associated with road pavements, footpaths and kerb and channel within the legal road, as well as contractor management and the associated responsibilities.

As an Asset Protection Corridor Supervisor, you will act as an advisor for roading issues and work with our partner organisations to deliver an acceptable, safe, sustainable transport network, to achieve best possible network performance. It's important that you know how to connect on all levels, from field operations to a governance level as you'll be liaising with various stakeholders. Success starts with our people, so the ability to communicate and build trust with your contractors and team will be one of your biggest assets. You will ensure that all work within the Legal Road meets the requirements of the following:

- National Code of Practice for Utility Operators' Access to Transport Corridors (CoP).
- Christchurch City Council Construction Standard Specifications (CSS) and the
- Christchurch City Council Infrastructure Design Standards (IDS).

- NZCE (Civil) or equivalent or partial completion of a tertiary level civil engineering qualification or extensive practical experience in road maintenance in lieu of technical qualifications
- Driver's Licence
- Minimum 5 years relevant practical experience in pavement engineering and operations and / or road maintenance auditing / supervision
- Knowledge of road maintenance activities and roading materials, road contract documents, specifications etc. and of inspection methods
