We have an exciting opportunity for both an intermediate planner and an assistant (graduate level) planner to join our Urban Regeneration Team in Ōtautahi Christchurch, a place of innovation and revitalisation with unrivalled lifestyle opportunities

**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**
In this role you will:
- Lead regeneration projects across a variety of scales (with a current focus on key Central City and suburban neighbourhoods and sites).
- Lead and participate in multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Develop effective and influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify emerging issues and provide expert technical advice to elected members, other agencies and community groups on strategies, projects and plans.

You'll be an innovative, positive and collaborative team player with both a strategic focus and the ability to turn ideas into action. A 'people person', you'll have strong verbal and written communication skills to engage well with various audiences and present ideas clearly. Your analytical approach, alongside experience with information technology (including GIS tools), will be a strength along with excellent problem solving abilities and a talent for adapting to changing situations. You'll also bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (see position descriptions)
- A minimum of 4 years (for intermediate position) of experience developing and implementing regeneration strategies and projects
- Understanding of the issues and techniques associated with integrated planning in an urban context

**_Location_**_ - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga, Christchurch City Council Civic Offices - 53 Hereford Street_
- The salary band for the _**_Intermediate Planner _**_goes from $96,456 to $107,183_**_ _**_per annum based on a 40 hour week._
- The salary band for the _**_Assistant Planner_**_ goes from $74,394 to $82,660_ per annum based on a 40 hour week._
