**About the role**:
As a Policy Planner in our established team you will get the opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of work across urban and rural environments as we plan for a growing district. You'll see the outcomes and the visible impact that your work has on the communities we serve.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Processing and managing plan change requests
- Preparing and running Council plan changes
- Preparing and presenting reports for planning hearings
- Providing specialist advice to internal and external customers, councillors, and other stakeholders
- Input into preparation of submissions on resource management reform

**About you**:
You will also have:

- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field such as Resource Management, Planning or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to make technical decisions using sound judgement, risk analysis and research
