The Listening Post offers a wide range of home theatre and music related services from design and planning; to pre-wiring and installation; to repairs and custom cabling. We've been BUZZed to find someone to join their Christchurch team.

As a Listening Post Sales Consultant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring clients have a memorable showroom experience. You’ll be able to quickly build rapport with our client and know how to ask all the right questions, so you can provide them with the perfect Hi-Fi and home theatre solutions. The role will require ongoing training and product knowledge which you’ll be expected to build over time. As well as looking after clients in the showroom and telephone enquiries, you’ll also generate business through communicating with an extensive existing database.

You’ll be a savvy, customer-focused professional, perhaps in the hospitality field, but looking to change it up and make the first move into a sales career. With a warm and friendly disposition, you really know how to connect with people from all walks of life and build relationships. You’re a natural and gifted communicator, with a high standard of spoken and written English, who can mesh well into the current team.

An appreciation of premium Hi-Fi and home theatre is an advantage. Some basic knowledge of the workings of speakers, amplifiers, sources and home theatre electronics is required. You don’t need to have installer-level technical knowledge, but if you think a UE boom counts as a speaker and you’re ok with Bluetooth-ing your vinyl,..umwellmaybe this isn’t the role for you
