**Korero mo te turanga - About the role**
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for fixed-term Kaiarahi Pokapu Tauira - Student Service Centre Advisers to join our Student Service Centre within Titoko - Centre for Student Success. The positions are to give support to the permanent team during our peak time of November to March. Our Kaiarahi Pokapu Tauira - Student Service Centre Advisers are responsible for delivering efficient, accurate and timely support to a wide range of customers including students, prospective students, whanau, staff, visitors and members of the public. The Kaiarahi Pokapu Tauira - Student Service Centre Advisers work collaboratively and proactively to provide the best possible support and service.
**Key responsibilities include the following**:
- Maintain a high level of knowledge and understanding of the University's services, systems, and processes to support exceptional customer service
- Accurately record interactions and maintain student records as required
- Work closely with team members and other departments to resolve complex issues
- Ensure follow up and ownership of allocated cases to ensure the best customer outcomes

**Key requirements include the following**:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to express complex information in an accurate and concise form for a variety of audiences
- Highly organised and demonstrate an ability to work efficiently and collaboratively while maintaining an eye for detail and continuous improvement
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and resilience in handling high volumes of work
- A self-starter with a positive approach to work and a passion for people and continuous learning
- Proficient computer skills
