- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC;
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a cohesive Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Burwood Hospital has the opportunity for an experienced senior Registered Nurse to join the team as a Duty Nurse Manager. The Duty Nurse Manager is the key point of liaison after hours and is responsible for the coordination and management of patient flow processes for hospital.

**Ko wai koe | About You**
- You will be an experienced Senior Registered Nurse with a current NZ practicing certificate;
- You will be a confident practitioner with exceptional patient assessment skills;
- Enthusiastic, motivated, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage a wide variety of people, is paramount in this role;
- Thinking on your feet, with the ability to problem solve is imperative;
- An expert in the acute setting, you will be highly organised and motivated by the busy and challenging nature of this role;
- Experience in nursing leadership and management would be an advantage for this role but is not essential;
- Having completed level 8 education, CIMS training and have a CORE 5/6 competency is preferable.

Burwood Hospital is a close-knit, friendly facility that forms part of Te Whatu Ora - Waitaha [Canterbury] situated near Burwood Forest on the outskirts of Christchurch Central. Along with 11 inpatient wards, we also have a busy Out Patient Department; 4 theatres with an Admitting Unit and PACU. Our Spinal Unit is one of two located in New Zealand and between the two busy units deliver a National Service.
