Work with a diverse range of projects and clients - Manage and lead testing/QA processes, approaches and implementation - Provide leadership and support to a team of high performing Test consultants **The Role** As a Senior Test Capability Manager within Qual IT's Christchurch team, you will work with our diverse clients consulting on their ongoing QA processes, standards and test tools. Responsibilities include test leadership and coordination of some complex projects, or multiple projects of small to medium complexity. You will use your expert testing knowledge and experience to guide and mentor members of our permanent team on their client projects. This will include providing them with pragmatic solutions and practical advice to ensure the success of our client's IT projects. **The key responsibilities of the role are**: - Developing Test Strategies and Test Plans to optimise test processes - Managing testing engagements on a day to day basis across programmes or projects to ensure best possible outcomes are achieved - “Capability Management” which involves leadership, management and mentoring of Christchurch based Test professionals - At least 8 years testing experience - Experienced in developing Test strategies and QA processes appropriate for different sized organisations - Experienced at managing teams of test related roles including day-to-day task management and co-ordination of activities within a project environment - Experienced at coaching, mentoring and developing staff - Expert level knowledge of the delivery lifecycle methods (Waterfall, Agile, Devops, CI,CD etc) and supporting test phases and types - Experienced in a variety of project, test management and defect management tools - Experienced in creation of test related documentation and stakeholder reporting **Who Are Qual IT?** Qual IT is New Zealand's largest testing and quality assurance consultancy.
