We are recruiting for a Foreperson for our Excavation and Shotcrete teams. We are keen to hear from safety conscious Operators who share our safety vision of “ I Think Safe, We Work Safe, We All Go Home Safe”. Reporting to the Superintendent you will be responsible for the drilling and excavation works and concrete crews working across the Central Interceptor Project sites.

**What you will be doing**:

- Leading the concrete and drilling crews working on excavations and drilling, installing rebar cages and concrete pours
- Assist with routine inspections and maintenance of plant and equipment
- Follow safe methods and ensure a healthy and safe environment for operators
- As required, operating drilling rigs and backhoe excavators
- Minimise and reporting any unsafe activities
- Work closely with the Supervisors and Superintendents on daily programme
- 10 years construction experience specifically in concrete, drilling and piling
- Experience working on civil infrastructure projects, leading crews of Operators
- Skilled Operator of drilling rigs and excavators
- Positive and pro-active approach toward teamwork
- Good communication and decision-making skills
- Excellent safety awareness
- Ability to work under pressure, determine priorities and follow instructions

Minimum 40 hours a week between the hours of 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Saturday until such time as required to work on a rostered shift pattern, in line with the programme demands of the project.

All successful applicants will be required to undertake and satisfactorily pass a Ministry of Justice and pre-employment drug and medical checks.
