As we continue this growth journey, we have an exciting opportunity for an Area Manager to join our team, covering the north of Auckland and Northland areas.

What You'll Be Doing | Mō te Tūranga

You will lead a team of six Centre and District Managers, from Takapuna and LynnMall in Auckland up to Whangarei in the north. Playing a critical role as part of the AA’s Centre Network leadership team, you will provide effective leadership to grow and develop our people while ensuring operations are managed in an efficient and collaborative way.

You’ll be responsible for delivering the business unit strategy together with the overall financial and operational performance through the planning and organising of AA customer centres within your area. You will lead centre managers to deliver customer focused and compliant customer experiences while delivering a range of financial services products and government contract services. As part of the role you will:

- Monitor centre performance and productivity ensuring these meet performance measures,
- Mentor managers on the optimisation of people, capability and skill levels,
- Ensure Customer Centres are delivering a consistent customer experience of the highest quality, and
- Grow and develop the customer centre employees in your area to create a succession pool of talent and ensure great employee experiences.

About You | Mōu

You’ll have proven leadership experience in a comparable role, potentially gained within Insurance or Financial Services sectors, be an outcomes focused individual with strong leadership qualities and the ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively. We are looking for commercial acumen to help us lift the capability of our network through performance metrics and revenue, while building an engaged culture that aligns with the AA's values, so your attention to detail and the ability to develop others and guide them through change will be key to your success.
