Our Communications Team, who are responsible for helping the public provide feedback on AT projects, require a Community Engagement and Insights Advisor to support their work. This is a unique role with a focus on analysis and logic combined with engagement and communication elements.

This is a key role that will see you working closely with the communications team by:

- Providing analysis and summarising feedback received from the public and stakeholders on AT projects.
- Preparing reports on public feedback on AT projects that are available for public viewing.
- Working with project managers to understand and respond to public and stakeholder feedback on AT projects.
- Undertaking a variety of communication, consultation and administration activities within the consultation team

**Please note this is a 12 month maternity leave contract.**

**Ko koe tēnei | About you**

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:

- Relevant experience in communications, consultation and engagement and or research, with an understanding of consultation requirements desirable.
- Proven experience analysing and summarising qualitative information, preferably consultation feedback, in written form and using graphs.
- Experience developing consultation questions and/or surveys
- Ability to work well in a team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- An understanding of the workings and functions of local government.
- A tertiary qualification in a related discipline: humanities, social research, market research, communications,. A qualification related to consultation and engagement, e.g., IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation helpful.
- Results focused with demonstrated use of initiative, proactive problem solving and a 'can do' attitude
- Sound written communication expertise in all mediums.

Needless to say - you will also have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a complex, political and fast changing environment.
