Parking Officer

Napier City Council is seeking level headed and resilient team players to join the parking team and enforce parking requirements in accordance with relevant legislation. This role requires a switched on individual who is able to deal with members of the public in a calm and professional manner. A good level of fitness is required as you will be required to walk for significant periods.

**We are looking for someone who has**:

- The ability to interpret and enforce traffic regulation, bylaws and policies in a firm, fair and positive manner.
- A high standard of personal presentation.
- The ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a professional manner.
- Able to handle tense, difficult or confrontational situations with tact and diplomacy.
- A methodical and practical approach to duties. Able to exercise mature judgement.
- A full clean NZ driving licence

You may be required to work some late nights and public holidays on a rostered basis, so some flexibility in work hours is required.
