Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.

**He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role**

Do you enjoy a challenge where you feel stimulated and where you can make a difference? An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Clinical Lead to Whakatāne's Adult Community Mental Health and Addiction Service in the Bay of Plenty.

The Clinical Lead will support a positive team environment while providing clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team and participating in day-to-day clinical work. The focus of this role is to advance the quality of service delivery through leadership in clinical activities. It is expected that the Clinical Lead will work in collaboration with the Team Leader to maintain a high clinical profile and a visible presence to guide and support staff in relation to direct clinical service provision.

Key functions of the role are to:

- Provide clinical expertise and leadership within the multidisciplinary team to promote safe, effective clinical practice.
- Maintain a high profile engaging in day-to-day clinical activities while being available to coach, guide and support staff in relation to direct clinical care.
- Be proactive in providing assistance and collegial support to the team.
- Flexibility with assisting patient facing work when required.

**He korero mōu - About You**
- A Registered Health Professional with a current annual practicing certificate and a minimum of 3 years' postgraduate experience in community mental health and/or the addiction field.
- Able to demonstrate clinical expertise in mental health and addiction and the ability to positively influence service development.
