**Tenei turanga - About the Role**:
The Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the Manager Enterprise Performance and the Principal Advisor to
- Provide enterprise level advice and insights to support the wider finance and performance team, the Finance and Investment Committee and the Senior Leadership Team
- Develop planning and reporting products, tools and processes and championing continuous financial process improvement
- Lift performance, and drive new and innovative ways of delivery across the branch, Finance and Performance and wider MBIE
- Manage the corporate allocation framework and process
- Provide guidance and support to the Analyst and other team members as needed
- Improve the Ministry's outcomes, appropriation, and performance reporting

The Enterprise Performance team, which sits within FP is responsible for planning MBIE wide processes and establishing organisational frameworks. The team presents an enterprise view to our Senior Leadership Team, including but not limited to monthly internal reporting, internal and external budgets and forecasts, financial modelling, external budget bids, external audit, MBIE Annual Report production, strategic plans and project transformation.

In this team you will be supported to grow your skills, build relationships, and help drive an integrated planning and performance reporting cycle across the Ministry.

**Nga pukenga me nga wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required**
- Proven written and technical skills with the ability to analyse financial data and provide high quality advice and insights (management accounting experience advantageous)
- Experience managing large or complex corporate cost allocation processes or strong financial modelling skills
- Experience coordinating financial planning and forecasting processes for a large organisation, including the preparation of operating and capital budgets
- Good understanding of 'machinery of government' and Public Sector reporting requirements preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated communication, facilitation, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information in plain language
- Customer focused, able to actively identify financial management capability gaps with the business groups and work with Finance Business Partners to implement an action plan to address these
- Proven experience working within a culture of continuous improvement
- Experience in financial systems and related reporting - experience with TechOne Ci Anywhere, and PowerBI, would be beneficial
