Senior Stormwater Modeller/engineer

Our busy and growing water team, based in Central Wellington is currently seeking a Senior Stormwater Modeller/Engineer.
Based in our Network Planning team you will work alongside our teams of civil engineers, digital designers, and project managers.

This role will be pivotal in further developing our existing relationships with local clients. It's a fantastic opportunity to advance your technical skills through your project work, with great prospects for career progression as the business continues to grow.
You will be responsible for:
- Working directly with our clients in solving their challenges to service the forecasted development growth by offering innovative approaches
- Leading the technical aspects of stormwater modelling and planning studies
- Supporting the design of stormwater infrastructure
- Mentoring the new generation of stormwater network planners
- Being a part of an internationally connected team that actively pushes the development of digital technology in modelling and engineering design
- Supporting and helping develop our water resources and flooding practice connecting with specialists around the world
- About you:
- Relevant degree in engineering with specialisation in hydraulics
- A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in stormwater modelling
- Capability to check and review work of others to provide quality assurance and drive continuous improvement in work delivered to the client
- Excellent client relationship management
- Project Management experience
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- Proven report writing skills
- Extended experience of InfoWorks ICM and/or DHI (MIKE URBAN, MIKE +) modelling software
