**Job Description** About the Role**:
As a Transfer Station Operator, you will play a crucial role in our waste management operations in **North Shore Transfer Station**. You will be responsible for efficiently managing waste activities, ensuring recyclable materials are redirected, and maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Resource Recovery**: Control the placement of waste and recyclables to maximise resource recovery.
- ** Equipment Operation**: Operate onsite plant and equipment as required.
- ** Customer Interaction**: Direct traffic within the transfer station and provide general information to customers.
- ** Company Representation**: Maintain a professional image of the company and deliver high-quality customer service at all times.
- ** Site Maintenance**: Keep all buildings, grounds, roadways, and landscaping clean and tidy.
- ** Labouring Duties**: Undertake general labouring duties as required.
- ** Administrative Support**: Assist with general administrative duties as directed.
- ** Record Keeping**: Complete all records and paperwork accurately, as directed and required.
- ** Target Achievement**: Meet targets for recycling and redirection of waste from landfill.

**Qualifications** Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications**:

- Current driver's licence - Class 2 with W, T, R endorsement.
- Minimum of three years’ experience operating heavy loader and excavator machinery.
- Knowledge of the maintenance of loader and excavator equipment.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of work ethic and a keen awareness of health and safety.
