**Tēnei tūranga - About the Role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Hamilton leadership team. We are looking for an experienced operational leader who will have demonstrable people leader skills, is goal orientated and able to ‘think on your feet' in order to add value. You will use your strong leadership skills to manage a team of officers to deliver quality immigration outcomes for New Zealand.

- Have flexible working hours to suit your life, between 6am - 5pm
The role of Immigration Manager sits within the Border and Visa Operations (BVO) and comes with 8-12 direct reports on average. BVO is the main processing and operational arm of Immigration New Zealand.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have experience in, or have the qualities that would enable you to successfully perform, the following tasks:
- The ability to manage workflow ensuring the continuation of BAU during periods of ambiguity and significant change is essential.
- Mental agility to multi-task and deal with ad-hoc requests through to completion within tight timeframes, while maintaining a positive outlook.
- The ability to lead effectively through change and drive high performance under challenging circumstances.
- The ability to foster an inclusive working environment that supports, leverages, and celebrates diversity.
- Implementing quality processes designed to streamline and improve productivity whilst being a service champion.
- Effective coaching and performance management of individuals or teams resulting in personal growth and achievement of organisational goals.
- Excellent relationship building with peers and external stakeholders.
- Solving complex problems and being able to make sound decisions in a changing environment.
- Knowledge of the immigration system beneficial but not essential.
