Experienced Truck Driver (License - Class 2 and 3)
We are a Nationwide Vehicle Reseller that has celebrated over 10 years in business.
We require an Experienced Transport Driver to work in our mechanical department to carry out various repairs to our customer’s vehicles.
**Duties**:
- Responsible for vehicle transportation
- Responsible for safety loading and unloading vehicles
- Open to learning and following policies and procedures
- Ensure all paperwork and processes are completed in a timely manner, recording all parts/labor used on each job.
- Meet given KPI’s
- Ensure workshop area is kept safe in accordance with the Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Use proper safety equipment when required
- Use all equipment and tools in a safe and conscientious manner.
- Report damage to vehicles/plant/premises as soon as possible.
- Clean contaminant spills as soon as possible using the Spill Kit.
- Contribute to “tool box meetings” and company policies and procedures.
- Hold and maintain a current and valid heavy vehicle (class 2 & 3) NZ Drivers License
- Follow safety obligations including log book
The successful applicants will need the following skills
- Experience driving trucks - class 2 and 3
- Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels - written, phone and face to face.
- Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience.
- Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members.
- Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within the time frame given, and carry out administrative duties within the portfolio in an efficient and timely manner.
- Professional approach (essential).
- Confident manner (essential).
- Positive approach to change (essential).
- Current Clean Heavy Vehicle (class 2 & 3) Drivers License required.
Hours of work are 8.00am to 5.30pm, overtime is required at times.
