**Job Description**:
This Program Manager has overall responsibility for the management of operational activities of the Food, Health & Nutrition business, to ensure that audit programs are managed and administered in a professional and efficient manner, in accordance with procedural requirements and to ensure that service delivery, financial, and compliance performance objectives and outcomes are achieved - with responsibility for providing the leadership role in respect to the audit programs, supporting and developing the audit team and ensuring ongoing compliance with existing program requirements and supporting business growth and development. As an experienced and qualified Senior Food Auditor, to maintain auditor recognitions and technical qualifications and support the delivery of programs by undertaking and/or leading audits as required, taking into consideration the needs of the businesses and balancing operational audit activity with the program management role.

Specific responsibilities of this position include:

- Ensuring that all programs offer by the Food, Health & Nutrition business are effectively managed, coordinated and administered, in accordance with SGS global policies, procedures and program requirements to ensure compliance requirements are met and accreditations and approvals maintained.
- Management of the day-to-day operational activity of business to ensure efficiencies in process, continuous improvement programs, on time delivery every time to customers, ongoing management of the direct report’s performance, payroll and Human Resource issues to ensure day to day operations of the Health & Nutrition business operates effectively
- Identifying and effectively managing and mitigating risks to the business - including, but not limited to compliance, service delivery, impartiality and reputational risks.
- Effectively coordinating the activities all staff and contract auditors reporting to you, monitoring and optimising auditor utilisation and planning to ensure that audit programs are adequately resourced to meet service delivery KPI’s cover all business eventualities.
- Maintaining a fair and productive working environment for staff within your area of responsibility, communicating expectations and setting and monitoring goal achievement (as applicable).
- Attending and participating in internal/external seminars, conferences and training modules as necessary to your position and co-ordinate the training and development of staff reporting to your position
- As required by your Manager, provide information to assist with business strategy and plan development, the formulation of annual budgets and/or assist with financial forecasting.
- Take overall responsibility for the delivery of the programs ensuring that monthly financial and service delivery performance targets are met.
- Coordinating the financial management and administration activities for the business, including supplies and services procurement, invoicing and management reporting functions.
- Achieving consistently high levels of customer care and service to maintain, develop and grow the services and general customer base.
- Supporting other team members, including the Delivery Support Team Leader and Business Development Manager, to develop and implement Business Development Plans and introduce new programs and services.
- As a Senior Food Auditor, undertake audits as required to support the programs you manage - maintaining your qualifications and recognitions as a Food Auditor in multiple food industry audit standards and programmes and across a range of industry sector codes.
- Maintain and develop assessment skills and technical and management system standards knowledge, providing technical support and program information to other SGS Team Members and clients.
- Act as a brand ambassador for SGS. This means acting ethically, with complete integrity and observing company rules, policies and protocols
- Generate and develop the culture of the SGS Vision programme to assist the Company’s long-term objectives and promote this culture internally and externally.

**Qualifications**:
Applicants are required to be an experienced and qualified professional Food Auditor with a background planning and conducting audits on a Certification Body and a broad understanding of Food, Health & Nutrition audit programs.
