Te Tari Pūreke - Firearms Safety Authority is New Zealand’s Firearms Regulator. Our Vision is to ensure the possession and use of firearms in Aotearoa is the safest in the world.
**To achieve this, Te Tari Pūreke delivers four core functions**: effectively implementing the firearms licensing systems; managing the Firearms Registry; educating people to enable compliance with their legislative responsibilities; and promoting the safe possession and lawful use of firearms.
We are committed to fostering a culture of safe and responsible firearms use, gun ownership and awareness by working collaboratively with the firearms community, our stakeholders, and fellow agencies.
About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment Advisor. As a Recruitment Advisor, it is expected that you will have gained skills within the wider recruitment sector, either as a recruiter, or within a recruitment support position. Having sound task and time management skills, you will work across position types centric to Te Tari Pūreke. Volume Recruitment experience will be highly regarded.
We’re looking for an experienced and resilient recruiter with end-to-end recruitment practice who is confident managing varied and at times highly specialised roles. As a high performing team, we have built a culture that is engaging and positive and are looking for someone who shares our vision.
An understanding of recruitment systems (ideally SAP Success Factors) would be an advantage.
The team is based across both Auckland and Wellington.
**Key Deliverables**:
Experience in recruitment is essential, in either a recruitment consultant or a recruitment coordinator capacity.
Sound understanding of recruitment processes and the end-to-end methodologies involved in hiring.
High levels of initiative and the confidence to solve problems and make decisions in real time.
A great eye for detail, a compliance mindset, supported by sound computing / database skill.
The proven ability to build rapport with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and cultures.
Working at Te Tari Pūreke in NZ Police

We as the firearms regulator, collaborate closely with both the Ministry of Justice and NZ Police. The Ministry of Justice is responsible for policy advice and system oversight and NZ Police is responsible for law enforcement function.

Special requirements

Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence at $80, 295 - $83,973(pro rata) dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
