1 x fixed term / secondment position for 12 months covering maternity leave

With the new establishment of Te Whatu Ora and ongoing health system reforms, the Ministry of Health has some exciting change ahead of us. We have been focused on supporting the transition and we now are looking to the future as the Ministry sets it's new direction.

Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
Our Recruitment team work with their respective portfolios to support the Ministry on their end to end recruitment needs. We work with every level of Manager at the Ministry, to operate as their trusted advisor on the day to day recruitment demands, managing campaigns and talent sourcing.
As part of our wider People & Capability team we enjoy working in an environment where we can test one anothers thinking, offer each other peer support and work collaboratively with a common purpose and work ethic. The workload will be challenging in terms of complexity, diversity and volume and requires confidence to operate outside of comfort zone.
Your key focus will be providing guidance, advice and support with job evaluation, position descriptions and talent pipelines to Senior Recruitment Advisors, HR Advisory and hiring managers across directorates within the Ministry.

Experience in a recruitment or HR role in a large, complex organisation
Solid knowledge and understanding of job evaluation and development of position descriptions
Ideally Korn Ferry trained
Up-to-date knowledge of talent sourcing trends and practices
Great relationship management skills with people at all levels
A passion for process improvement
