Auckland City, New Zealand Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Full time

**Working in a regionally focused, multi-disciplinary team, whose primary role is the assessment and treatment of tamariki and rangatahi involved in the Youth Justice systems**:

- **Seeking an experienced Social worker, nurse, occupational therapist for this clinical role**:

- **Permanent, full time (40 hours) - Monday to Friday, based in our Greenlane Clinic Centre**

**Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity**

Tū Māia is a regionally focussed multi-disciplinary team whose primary role is the assessment and treatment of tamariki and rangatahi involved in the Youth Justice systems. This role will include (but not limited to) preparing formal reports on mental health needs for the Courts and other agencies and providing short term therapies to a small number of young people. We also provide clinical services to young people in secure residential care, and Court liaison services.

Tū Māia was suitably named as the rangatahi and whānau using the service are predominantly Māori and are thought to be brave and courageous engaging in the court ordered comprehensive assessment processes whereby highly personal information is sought and shared after a very short period of engagement with the clinicians and cultural advisors.

Tū Māia is seeking a social worker, nurse, occupational therapist to join our team. This is an opportunity to be a part of a service that will support excellent clinical care into the future, as well as offering the chance to develop your existing Mental Health knowledge in an established and multidisciplinary work environment. As a key member of this professional, dedicated team, you’ll be assessing and managing the needs of service users that are referred to the service with an acute mental health presentation and increased risk.
