Role Overview:
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the daily operations of the production team.
- Ensure all seafood products are processed according to company, MPI (Ministry for Primary Industries) and importing country standards.
- Monitor production workflow to meet deadlines and maintain product quality.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food safety protocols during production.
- Complete pre-operation checks on personal hygiene, cleanliness, equipment, and amenities to ensure requirements are met.
- Monitoring the pest control programme to ensure the facility remains pest-free and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Ensure staff wear the correct PPE to reduce contamination risks.
- Train, coach, and mentor production staff.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records, including export quantities, sizes, and destinations.
- Ensure products are correctly sized, packed, labelled, and meet customer and country-specific requirements.
- Record and manage waste, ensuring disposal complies with regulations.
- Collaborate with sales and seafood quality inspectors to resolve production or quality issues.
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and safety procedures are followed.
- Conduct toolbox talks prior to production.
- Ensure premises, equipment, and amenities are thoroughly cleaned after each production.

What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a production or manufacturing supervisory role, preferably in seafood or food processing.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and quality assurance standards.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
