**Basic Job Description**

- **Dealer Technical support** - provide technical support to the dealer network and Subaru of NZ in the office or in the field. There is a content of national travel, with the possibility international travel being required from time to time.
- Support all technical, warranty, service, service plan, and recall programmes and initiatives.
- Provide technical assistance and training of network staff including Service Managers, Service Advisors, and technical staff.
- Maintain service plan program.
- Work with the marketing team to modify, amend, or adjust service plan brochures and documents, maintain service handbooks, and update service schedules.
- **Infotainment** - manage audio and infotainment systems, hardware updates, repair, exchange/replacement processes including GPS mapping for all model variants and programs.
- **Subaru Special Tools** - manage maintenance of Subaru special tools/equipment program including SSM diagnostic station.
- **Warranty** - assist with management of warranty and related dealer training, audits, and maintenance of warranty standards.
- Subaru Corporation local service bulletin monitoring and distribution.
**The skills sought**
The role requires a technical automotive background with a level 4 motor industry national certificate or offshore equivalent.
An automotive technician with solid diagnostic capabilities, as well as excellent people and computer skills is required for this role. Basic competency with MS Excel, and excellent written communication skills are also required.
If you have a background training and mentoring other staff this is clearly going to be an advantage, as would previous experience with a national distributor. This said, technicians with the diagnostic capabilities, ideally from franchise backgrounds (any brand), who possess good interpersonal skills are highly encouraged to apply.
